Since 1952, with a dedicated and experienced team of non-ferrous metal buyers, Norstar Steel Recyclers has helped recycle 100’s of thousands of tonnes of various non-ferrous metals.

Aluminium Domestic (Mixed)
General household aluminium items such as pots, pans, window frames, and siding, often with minor attachments.
Aluminium Extrusion
Clean aluminium profiles typically used in construction and manufacturing, such as window and door frames.
Aluminium (Copper) Radiators
Radiators made with a combination of aluminium and copper, commonly found in vehicles.
Aluminium Wheels
Recyclable alloy wheels from vehicles, typically free from rubber or attachments.
Batteries
Lead-acid batteries from cars, trucks, and machinery—commonly recycled for their lead and acid components.
Brass
A yellow metal alloy made from copper and zinc, often used in fittings, plumbing, and decorative items.
Catalytic Convertors
Copper Domestic (Mixed)
Mixed copper items from household sources, may include pipes, tanks, and fixtures with minor contamination.
Copper No.1 - clean pipe, sheet, solids
High-grade, clean copper with no impurities—includes clean pipes, sheets, and solid copper pieces.
Copper No.2 - dirty pipe, wire, solids
Lower-grade copper with some contamination or coatings, including paint, solder, or insulation.
Copper (Brass) Radiators
Radiators made with a copper and brass mix, commonly from older vehicles or HVAC systems.
Copper Wire
Bare copper wire with no insulation, typically from electrical systems or stripped cables.
Copper Wire Insulated (electrical cables)
Copper wires still covered with plastic insulation, sourced from electrical wiring and cables.
Electric Motors

Gun Metal

Lead

Zinc
A bluish-white metal used in galvanizing steel and manufacturing die-cast products and batteries.
